Oh Jerusalem: Requiem For The Two-State Solution
by Omar Karmi

And if there is no hope of a two-state solution, what is the role of the Palestinian Authority? Why persist with it? There will be anger. There will be pain. And there will be change; deep, fundamental change to the logic that has dominated the whole conflict for nearly quarter of a century.

Ojo! More Disasters Are Ready To Happen In The Middle East
by Dan Lieberman

You do not have to be an insider, a foreign policy expert, or a political pundit to realize that the Unholy Trinity, the new axis of evil – United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia – are preparing joint military actions against Iran and Hezbollah. The Spanish colloquial word, Ojo, meaning eye, expresses it all – careful – be on watch for the miscreants who have given us decades of war, civil strife, terrorism and destruction and have rarely had a day when they were not using their advanced weapons on some weak adversary. Events in the weeks of October, November, and early December 2017 tell the story.

Why The U.S Embassy In Israel Was Moved: Going ‘Nose To Nose With A Con Man’
by Dr Arshad M Khan

The Jerusalem story is the centerpiece of news this week.  Donald Trump and Mike Pence, an evangelical, in favor of moving the embassy and Rex Tillerson and John Mattis opposed in their discussion prior to the announcement.  That State and Defense departments both found the move detrimental to U.S. interests underlines how politics trump sound policy.

The Undemocratic Jerusalem Embassy Move
by Richard Oxman

The question is, what are concerned citizens going to DO about all this. In the U.S. there is still a small window of democratic opportunity to make an effort to turn things around. But that open window is not likely to be around much longer. In fact, I personally believe it will close in 2018.

Outrage Over Brutal Assaults On Ahwazi Women Protesting Against Regime Land Theft
by Rahim Hamid

Iranian regime security forces brutally assaulted defenseless Ahwazi Arab women protesting against the regime’s illegitimate confiscation of their families’ farmlands earlier this week, arresting many of the women whose only ‘crime’ was to demand justice.  The regime military personnel reportedly deliberately hit the women in the mouths and chests with batons and rifle butts.

Greeting Climate-Change Victims With A Man-Made Dystopia
by Todd Miller

In other words, you don’t have to turn to climate-change activists and experts like Bill McKibben or Naomi Klein to understand why those Central American droughts are getting worse and why those three Honduran men were in that train yard. All of this was predicted by the Department of Homeland Security.

Clarion Call for The Great USed
by Rachel Oxman

Everything doesn’t have to be worked out ahead of time, there can be plenty of unknowns in the mix. Clarity is not of the utmost importance now in forming the kind of party I’m proposing. Rather, a clarion call is all we need.

“Fake History; Fake News; JFK; and Setting the Record Straight with Vince Salandria and Paul Kurtz”
by Gary Corseri

In this thoughtful and penetrating broadcast, CBS- journalist/reporter Paul Kurtz must share the kudos. Kurtz listens carefully, prompts and guides unobtrusively in order to deliver the goods clearly, persuasively and cohesively. Deep thanks here to Salandria for 50-plus years in the service of truth and justice and to Paul Kurtz for helping us to understand what has been lost, and what we may still strive to recover!

Human Population Size, Density And Biodiversity Loss
by Sally Dugman

We have to go forward, but not with a Pollyanna, rose colored glasses point of view. Only as we know truth can we foist ourselves forward in the best ways that we can conceive. So this means our first starkly seeing the conditions surrounding us and, then, making deliberate difficult choices.

Eighty kilometres to the east of Nagpur in central India lies Bapu Kuti, a historic site in Sewagram, the ‘village of service’, which is nestled in the serene rustic surroundings of the Wardha district. This dwelling was the residential abode of Mahatma Gandhi from 1936 to 1948 and was the epicentre of the Indian freedom movement.

Social Work : How Much Is Fine And Where To Draw The Line – And What Its Different ‘Avatars’?
by Ramnik Mohan

Bottom line – once gripped by the urge to see a better society around you emerge, don’t hesitate to work whatever you can for it, irrespective of scale and significance and effectiveness. Whatever possible, be done – with or without career, in or out of job, whatever the time at disposal. And let us recall what Martin Luther King Jr. said – “Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or an animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.” Surely, this does very neatly sum up the spirit of what working for a better society to live in involves in terms of its bare outlines, whatever its scale, extensiveness and level of intensity.

Abuse And Maltreatment Of Kashmiri Prioners
by Abdul Majid Zargar

The recent incident of    abuse  & inhuman treatment of Kashmiri prisoners inside Tihar Jail in Delhi, once again brings into focus the utter negligence & inertia displayed by UN to enforce its own rules governing treatment of political prisoners of around the world.
