Dear Friend, In an  article published in New York Times, Matt Ridley (a scientist) argues that the idea of a nuclear winter following a nuclear war or exchange of bombs was propaganda put out by the Soviets during the Cold War in the 80’s to frighten the West.   Is Earth the largest garbage dump in the Universe? I don’t know.
