The news is picking up that Donald Trump may nominate former congressman-turned-lobbyist Jeff Miller to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs, so let us be as blunt as can possibly be:

Jeff Miller is a non-starter to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs. He is a Koch Brothers courtesan in lockstep with their goal of VA Privatization.

It’s not just that Jeff Miller would be the first non-veteran to lead the VA. It’s not just that his pre-congressional experience was as a weatherman and a real estate agent. But Jeff Miller is a leading voice for VA privatization, and he is currently a lobbyist for a hedge fund manager trying to build a private veterans’ mental health care system.

So we have to ask you to make your voice heard.

Sign VoteVets Petition: If Jeff Miller is nominated, we are going to fight like hell to make sure he does not become the next VA Secretary. This nomination would be a slap in the face to veterans and military families.

Every major veterans organization opposes privatizing the VA. Every major study shows that health care through the VA provides better outcomes than a private system.

There is no greater voice for VA privatization than Jeff Miller. He must be opposed.
