Petition: don't rig the 2020 census


The Trump administration is making a blatant effort to intimidate immigrant communities and throw off the 2020 census count.
By inserting a question about citizenship, a question that hasn't been part of the census for over six decades, Trump and the GOP are making it less likely those communities will participate. They're also compartmentalizing LGBTQ communities by asking couples residing together to specify the relationship as "same-sex" or "opposite-sex." 
That's totally unacceptable.
Every resident must be included, so we can ensure that every voice is heard and that we're fulfilling our promise to provide good quality health care, services for veterans, and support for seniors.

A tale of two democracies, India and USA

Dear Friend, This was one of the most eventful and traumatic days in recent history in two of the most powerful democracies in the world. The president of the 'democratic' USA called Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations as “shitholes countries”. This is the lowest a democracy can get.  In India, the most populous 'democracy' in the world, four Supreme Court judges publicly spoke against the Chief Justice of India and his way of functioning. It is unprecedented in India. Perhaps, things like this never happened any other democratic country. Unlike the Trump 'shithole' it gives an iota of hope. It gives us hope that at least there are some responsible persons in India who are ready to stand up for real democracy. They publicly said "democracy in India is at stake". It really is. (ABC7) —  A Hagerstown woman is suing the National Rifle Association, saying her longtime live-in boyfriend was mentally ill when he removed her from his will, was arrested for threatening to kill her son, and replaced her in the will with an NRA foundation before he committed suicide with a shotgun. Stormy Morse says Lewis Tabler Jr. was swindled by foundation attorneys into giving up his $500,000 in life savings. Foundation attorneys dispute that, saying he told them he didn’t want her “to receive a dime” of his retirement plan.
