Later this week, the U.S. Senate will begin confirmation hearings for CIA Director Mike Pompeo to replace Rex Tillerson as our nation’s next Secretary of State.

Make absolutely no mistake about it: the appointment of John Bolton to serve as National Security Advisor and Mike Pompeo’s nomination to serve as Secretary of State represent the neoconservative foreign policy Donald Trump said he was against.

These appointments show there’s not one shred of daylight between Dick Cheney and Donald Trump.

Mike Pompeo’s positions on the Iran Deal and diplomacy with North Korea are a threat to our national security. The Secretary of State is supposed to be America’s top diplomat — his confirmation will put us on a path to war.

Tell the Senate to reject Mike Pompeo’s nomination:
Stop the March to War: Tell the U.S. Senate that Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State is a threat to our national security, and that you expect they will vote NO on his confirmation.

What we want to do now before the hearings begin is build as large a list as possible of veterans, military family members, and our civilian supporters who oppose Pompeo’s nomination. As the hearing heats up, we’re going to make sure your voices are represented in our conversation with members of the Senate about this issue.

All my best,
Will Fischer
