HAPPY MONDAY, MASSACHUSETTS.
WARREN'S TOWN HALL ADVICE - Sen. Elizabeth Warren is back on the town hall circuit, but tonight it's in Washington with her fellow Senate colleague (and would-be 2020 contender) Sen. Bernie Sanders for a forum about economic inequality.
Warren has made waves as she appears to eye a potential bid for the presidency - most recently bringing on President Barack Obama's former top digital strategist as the field of potential 2020-contenders staff up.
And that budding presidential buzz turned into a punchline this weekend while Warren gathered with Boston's constellation of political leaders for the annual St. Patrick's Day breakfast in South Boston.
Talking about her experience on the town hall circuit, she joked about a question from the town hall audience: "What advice would you give to politicians thinking of running for president?"
"They need to capture the essence of President Trump," Warren mock-replied. "They need to find that special something, the thing that makes Donald Trump Donald Trump. And it turns out, it's surprisingly easy. Let me show you" - lifting to reveal a poster of Joe Biden with Trump's hair. Warren repeated the gag with pictures of John Kerry, Gov. Charlie Baker, and finally - herself. "But we all know who really needs a new hairstyle," Warren said, hoisting her doctored portrait aloft. "And there she is."
