Just an observation.....

Sitting in a doctor's office this week, I picked up a  Christmas magazine that offered interesting  recipes  and so on.....  Instead of informative information, interesting recipes ..... every other page was an ad for DRUGS!  Pills!  Since I customarily bring a book or something to do, the surplus magazines aren't perused.....  Is this what we've come to as a nation?   Several years ago, a medical doctor expressed his frustration that patients came to him having determined they had a certain condition or required a certain medical test from having seen it advertised on television..... Has American Ignorance reached this level?
