Explosion at US embassy in Montenegro | 22 Feb 2018 | There has been an explosion at the US Embassy in Montenegro, the government says. An unidentified attacker threw an explosive device into the embassy compound in the capital Podgorica, before killing himself, it tweeted. It said the device thrown was likely a hand grenade. A guard at a nearby sports centre told the AFP news agency he "heard two explosions, one after another".
Attacker throws grenade at US Embassy in Montenegro, kills self with 2nd explosive device | 22 Feb 2018 | The US mission in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, has urged people to avoid the area following a grenade attack on the diplomatic premises by an unknown assailant, who subsequently blew himself up with a second device. The attack happened around 00:30 local time Thursday, when an "unknown person" threw an "explosive device" from the street into the US embassy compound, the government of Montenegro announced on Twitter. Authorities believe that the projectile thrown was a hand grenade. Immediately afterward the assailant "committed suicide with an explosive device," the statement added.

Pence agreed to meet with Kim Jong Un's younger sister Kim Yo Jong and her team at the South Korean 2018 Winter Olympic Games before he even set off on his trip to Asia. But less than two hours before they would meet on Saturday February 10, Kim Yo Jong's team pulled out of meeting, Pence's office told the Washington Post. The decision reportedly came just after word got back to them that Pence [sabotaged the meeting when he] announced that the United States was planning to impose the 'toughest and most aggressive' sanctions ever against Un's government.
US, S. Korean militaries to conduct joint drills despite detente with Pyongyang | 20 Feb 2018 | The US and South Korea will go ahead with military drills off the Korean peninsula despite the "Peace Olympics" and the recent thaw in North-South relations, the South's defense ministry said in a report to the National Assembly. In the run-up to the Olympic Games in PyeongChang, Seoul was able to convince Washington to delay the start of their annual winter/springtime joint military exercises until after the games. The temporary halt to the annual Foal Eagle/Key Resolve US-South Korea joint military exercises allowed North and South Korea to develop a dialogue that the South hopes will ease the mounting tension in the region. On Tuesday, a day after Pyongyang warned against the resumption of the military drills, South Korea's defense ministry announced that the allies will still hold the Key Resolve and Ulchi Freedom Guardian exercises.
Fukushima operator to pay 100,000 pounds to family of 102-year-old who killed himself when told to flee | 20 Feb 2018 | The operator of the Fukushima nuclear power plant [Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO)] has been ordered to pay 15.2 million yen (100,000 pounds) in compensation to the family of a man who killed himself when he was told to flee after tsunami waves overwhelmed the reactor. Thousands of people were told to leave their homes in April 2011, a month after the tsunami sent the Fukushima plant into meltdown. 102-year-old Fumio Okubo, who lived in a village 40km (25 miles) from the plant, was among those told to leave. After he received the evacuation order, he took his own life.
Trump motorcade driver detained by Secret Service after gun discovered | 20 Feb 2018 | The Secret Service said Monday it detained someone scheduled to drive a press van in President Trump's motorcade in Florida after agents discovered a personal firearm during a security check. The incident occurred Monday in Palm Beach, where Trump was spending Presidents Day at his compound. According to the agency, the unnamed individual was a "staff contracted driver" who was found to be "in lawful possession of a prohibited item." It occurred outside the secure area at a Secret Service security screening checkpoint.
Trump suggests arming teachers as a solution to increase school safety | 21 Feb 2018 | President Donald Trump, after listening to a series of emotional stories and pleas to enhance school safety at the White House Wednesday, floated the idea of arming teachers and school staff, an idea that was met with support from many of the attendees. "If you had a teacher who was adept with the firearm, they could end the attack very quickly," he said, stating that schools could arm up to 20% of their teachers to stop "maniacs" who may try and attack them. "This would be obviously only for people who were very adept at handling a gun, and it would be, it's called concealed carry, where a teacher would have a concealed gun on them. They'd go for special training and they would be there and you would no longer have a gun-free zone," Trump said.
Trump directs attorney general to propose bump stock ban | 20 Feb 2018 | President Trump on Tuesday said that he wants to ban so-called bump stocks -- devices that can turn ordinary rifles into weapons that fire like machine guns, such as those used in the mass killing in Las Vegas. "After the deadly shooting in Las Vegas, I directed the attorney general to clarify whether certain bump stock devices like the one used in Las Vegas are illegal under current law," Trump said, referring to Jeff Sessions. "Just a few moments ago, I signed a memorandum directing the attorney general to propose regulations to ban all devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns," Trump continued at the White House.
District Will Suspend Kids Who Leave Class to Protest Florida Shooting | 21 Feb 2018 | "We are here for an education and not a political protest." That's the message from Needville ISD Superintendent Curtis Rhodes Tuesday in response to a call by political groups for students to walk out of class to protest gun issues in the wake of the Florida school shooting. In a post on Facebook, Rhodes said, "A school is a place to learn and grow educationally, emotionally and morally. A disruption will not be tolerated." Rhodes said that students who walk out of class -- or disrupt school -- to protest current gun laws face a possible suspension. "They will be suspended from school for three days and face all the consequences that come along with an out-of-school suspension."
Stoneman Douglas survivors plan march on Washington, demanding 'new normal' on gun laws | 18 Feb 2018 | Teen survivors of the school shooting massacre in Florida last week are calling for a march on Washington to demand action on gun control. Student organizers of the protest told ABC News' "This Week" on Sunday that they are determined to use protests and political action to make the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Florida, a turning point in the national debate over gun control. Called "March for our lives," the demonstration in Washington is to be on March 24, according to 11th-grader Cameron Kasky, and four of his classmates who were interviewed along with him.

"Dear Crazed Shooters, The GOP has frequent baseball practice. You really wanna be remembered, that's how you do it. Signed, Americans tired of our politicians bathing in the blood of the innocent for a few million d-llars from the terrorist organization NRA," states one of the posts. "You remember the shooting at the Republican baseball game?" asks another post. "One of those should happen EVERY WEEK until those NRA-funded sons of bitches do something about this."
'Crisis actors' YouTube video removed after it tops 'trending' videos | 21 Feb 2018 | YouTube apologized Wednesday for suggesting viewers watch a video that attacked student survivors of the Florida shooting. The video, since deleted, had gone straight to the top of the YouTube "Trending" tab, a popular spot for users to check out the most popular videos. "This video should never have appeared in Trending," YouTube [censoring sociopaths by and for the Deep State] said in a statement. The video, first noticed by tech website Motherboard, was taken down three hours after the publication's post. It had over 200,000 views, and referred to student David Hogg as an actor, someone who has been "bought and paid by CNN and George Soros," according to Motherboard.

Parkland student: 'Secret Service was present, changed school security policy, several weeks before shooting' | 15 Feb 2018 | According to a senior at Stoneman Douglas High School who appeared on a radio program Thursday, United States Secret Service personnel were on the ground at the school several weeks before the shooting to change security protocols. Jalen Martin [a senior at Stoneman Douglas High School] told the Texas talk show host that a teacher of his had confirmed that indeed the Secret Service was present at the school a few weeks prior. The student's testimony dovetails with buried reports that a fire drill and an active shooter drill were, in fact, already scheduled for Valentine's Day. Martin said there had already been one fire drill earlier Wednesday morning before the alarm went off for a second time which prompted the principal to announce over the loudspeaker for all students to evacuate.

"The FBI has admitted that they were contacted last month by a person who called to inform them of Cruz's 'desire to kill people,' and 'the potential of him conducting a school shooting.'"

Youths interviewed after the incident appeared older than high school students. They repeated the same talking points. Before and during the shooting, fire alarms occurred. Students said they were prepped for this type incident weeks earlier. Why? Two ambulances on the scene had no bodies in them. An unverified video showed men loading weapons on a truck near the school. Alex Van Der Zwaan was charged by Mueller's team with making false statements to investigators in an interview about his time working for a law firm hired by the Ukraine Ministry of Justice in 2012, when he helped produce a report on the trial of Ukrainian politician Yulia Tymoshenko. According to The Washington Post, Van Der Zwaan is the son-in-law of Russian businessman German Khan.
Ex-CIA operative says US has long meddled in elections, but it's OK since they are 'good cops' | 18 Feb 2018 | As Russians are indicted over "election meddling," former CIA officers say the US has been interfering in foreign elections for decades and "hopefully" will keep doing so because it has the moral high ground. In an article published in the New York Times on Saturday, former CIA officers and several researchers, who have been studying covert US intelligence operations for years, say that the while methods allegedly used by Russians to meddle into the US elections might slightly differ from the old school CIA operations overseas, there is nothing in the allegations against Russians that Americans haven't done themselves. "If you ask an intelligence officer, did the Russians break the rules or do something bizarre, the answer is no, not at all," retired CIA veteran Steven Hall told the NYT. Hall, who left his job as CIA Chief of Russian Operations in 2015 after 30 years of service, noted that the US has never shunned attempting to meddle in other countries' elections. Saying that the CIA had "absolutely" engaged in such operations in the past, Hall added that he hopes "we keep doing it."
'Absurd' meddling claims and indictment of Russians show new US policy - Russian FM spokesperson | 16 Feb 2018 | US indictment of 13 Russian nationals and three entities over alleged meddling in American elections in 2016 has been labelled absurd by the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova. "Turns out, there've been 13 people, in the opinion of the US Justice Department. 13 people interfered in the US elections? 13 against billions budgets of special agencies? Against intelligence and counterespionage, against the newest technologies? Absurd? - Yes." Zakharova said in a Facebook post. The indictment, however, is the "modern American political reality," Zakharova added, jokingly suggesting that the number 13 was picked due to its negative associations.
US indicts 13 Russians for 2016 election meddling, but 'no allegations' they influenced outcome | 16 Feb 2018 | A US federal grand jury has indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities accused of interfering with US elections and political processes. However, there are "no allegations" they influenced the 2016 election. The indictment accuses the defendants of "supporting the presidential campaign of then-candidate Donald J. Trump...and disparaging Hillary Clinton." It also claims the defendants staged political rallies and bought political advertising while posing as grassroots entities. The document says an organization known as the Internet Research Agency "sought, in part, to conduct what it called 'information warfare against the United States of America' through fictitious US personas on social media platforms and other Internet-based media."
Pennsylvania Court Issues New Congressional Map | 19 Feb 2018 | The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is imposing a new congressional district map for the state's 2018 elections, meeting its deadline to do so and likely setting up a challenge from Republicans. Monday's order means a new map is to take effect in the May 15 primary. Republican lawmakers are expected to quickly challenge it in federal court, arguing legislatures and governors, not courts, have the constitutional responsibility to draw congressional maps. If it stands, the revised map is almost certain to improve Democrats' chances in more seats this year.
Court rules Energy Dept. must implement Obama efficiency rules | 15 Feb 2018 | The Trump administration must carry out the implementation of four energy efficiency regulations that it has delayed for more than a year, a federal court ruled Thursday. The Department of Energy (DOE) wrote the rules and made them public in December 2016, under the Obama administration. But when President Trump took office Jan. 20, 2017, his administration took advantage of a 45-day window for error corrections to review the rules and potentially scuttle them. The DOE still has not published the rules in the Federal Register, the final step to implement them.

Labor Board Rules Google's Firing of James Damore Was Legal | 16 Feb 2018 | Google did not violate federal labor law when it fired James Damore, a lawyer for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) concluded in a lightly-redacted memo made public Thursday. The former senior software engineer was fired from Google in August after internally circulating a ten-page memo arguing in part that women are not as biologically suited for coding jobs as men. After he was terminated, Damore filed a complaint with the NLRB, arguing that Google had violated his right to participate in protected activity, namely addressing problems in his workplace...Damore dropped the NLRB complaint last month to instead focus on a class action lawsuithe and another former Google employee brought against the company accusing it of discriminating against white, male, and conservative employees.
