A Memory Buried Under The Debris Of Babri Masjid

Dear Friend,

Today is the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest criminal acts that modern India witnessed, the demolition of the Babri Masjid mosque. The sad thing is that the perprators of this crime are still roaming free.

Rutuja Deshmukh Wakankar gives a personal ancedote of the Babri demolition as it felt in a small town in central India. She writes, "What we lost forever and we did not even realize for many years to come, was a reality, a reality of harmony, love and co-existence. Even partition could not separate Eid and Holi celebrations in our town, but Babri demolition did it. And I hold one man accountable for this loss which my generation grew-up with- Lal Krishna Advani."

Vidya Bhushan Rawat points out that  Babari Masjid demolition is an attack on the Constitution of India.

by Dr. Y. Srinivasa Rao

When the same technological tools have become potential tools in the hands of the opposition parties, activist netizens of the civil society, the educated and rights conscious minority, lower caste and women who do not agree with the government view points are producing the counter narratives, then they are hunted, hounded, wrong cases are filed and mentally tortured with trolls and abuse by the digital soldiers of the majority
