The Cross All Heretics Must Bear
by Rachel Olivia O'Connor

I have had great difficulty securing even conversation with priests about how we can honor the pope’s encyclical. It’s unbelievable how uninterested some representatives of the Church seem to be respecting implementation of what was urged by the Holy Father. But I plan to continue my outreach in that realm, and all realms, religious quarters all along the spectrum and elsewhere. It is the cross all heretics must bear in this unfair and unintelligent world. A blessing.

by Asang Wankhede

The Bicentennial celebration “Elgaar Parishad” of the Battle Koregaon by the Dalits, Muslims, Christians and Bahujans, both by organizations and individuals, at the Shaniwar Wada in Pune on December 31, followed by a march toward Bhima Koregaon 40 km from Pune, have seen opposition from the right-wing organisations. These organizations had the audacity to call the event, and the organizations and people celebrating it, as ‘anti-national’ and casteist (or reserve casteism(t)).

Widows Too Have A Right To Live In Happiness, Sushmaji
by Vidya Bhushan Rawat

Kulbhushan Jadhav’s mother and wife were made to look like widow, said our external affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj in parliament. She added that the Pakistani authorities actually asked them to remove their Mangalsutra, bindi and Saree and wear simple salwar kameej, before meeting Jadhav in the Jail. It is humiliating, she said, forcing the married woman to look like widow. Many Parliamentarians were equally shocked.
